The Educational Pathway to the National Board Certified Body Contouring Credential
The NBCBCC Program is a structured educational and credentialing pathway designed to prepare practitioners for safe, ethical, and competent practice in non-invasive body contouring.
The program combines comprehensive education, final exam competency assessment, and formal credentialing under the oversight of the National Body Contouring Commission (NBCC). The successful candidate will be provided the education and training to become a knowledgeable and skilled body contouring practitioner while prioritizing consumer safety at all times.

The educational component of the NBCBCC Program covers the core competencies required for safe and responsible practice, including:
Principles and protocols to minimize risk and protect clients
Clear boundaries of what is and is not appropriate within non-invasive, non-medical body contouring
How to properly evaluate clients and identify contraindications
Professional judgment and referral parameters
Rigorous standards for treatment environments
Responsible communication, documentation, and client care
Accurate record-keeping and compliance requirements
How to accurately and ethically represent services and outcomes
All educational content is aligned with the official NBCBCC Ten Standards Framework.
The NBCBCC Program consists of three main phases:
Successful completion and passing of the approved NBCBCC educational curriculum covering the core competency areas listed above.
A final program exam that evaluates knowledge, judgment, and understanding of safe practice standards shall be administered. A minimum passing score of 75% must be achieved in order to pass your final competency assessment and receive your credential.
Upon successful completion of 1-background screening, 2-educational program, 3-final exam assessment, 4-agreement to the Code of Ethics, candidates shall receive the National Board Certified Body Contouring Credential (NBCBCC). All practitioners will then be listed in good standing in the National Credential Verification Registry.
